The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) is a professional body that accredits professionals within the land, property and construction sectors worldwide.
RICS conducts a 'reaccreditation visit' of 'RICS-accredited course' once every 5 years to ensure that the respective educational institution provides appropriate curriculums and resources are in place to enable the effective delivery of the course to meet the high standards demanded by the technical professions. It is equivalent to an audit process in which the panel monitors the standards of students and reviews the course materials including assessments, exam scripts, and dissertations submitted by students.
This morning, the RICS reaccreditation panel met the full team of the UTM Quantity Surveying Department, employers, alumni and students (undergrad and postgrad).
